Apocalypse When?

2012, Armageddon, Y2k, and alien invasion scenarios all have a unifying thread. A presence, a power, or an unconscious process overshadows our choices and limits our reactions. Change is derived externally by forces so powerful that our individual responses become essentially meaningless. There is something seductive and alluring about this process that provides a sustaining energy for Fringe minds drawn to apocalyptic thought.

So many aspects of our modern lives are beyond our individual control. The bureaucratic Beasts of government and multinational corporations are so removed from humanity that they seem alien and intimidating to any plebeian caught in the webs of regulations and soul-sucking phone trees that accompany our modern existence. Something seems wrong, but we cannot identify a specific cause or explanation. This alienation and nihilism, the perspective of Adbusters, metal and emo music, and despondent rebels everywhere seeps into the unconscious mind and likely contributes to the increased rates of depression in "rich" Western culture.

Resonation with apocalyptic thought could be a projection of the unconscious desire to escape from the mediated prison that has been created around us. A powerful cleansing force of change is coming to reformat existence. Repent, and look busy!

Is this resonation with apocalypse lazy thinking for minds that have given up the imposing task of taming or re-creating a world that has spun out of control? Does hope spring eternal, or is it inevitable that humans will be overwhelmed and reduced to mindless consumer automatons? Does apocalypse bring divine judgment, or are we responsible for the situation we find ourselves in?

Where is the true locus of control, and how do we communicate that to the asteroid/volcano/tsunami/black helicopter speeding our way?

Media Frenzy

Our endless mediated experience provides our minds with unprecedented stimulation. With Web, RSS, YouTube, television, radio, and print competing for our awareness, entertainment and entrainment are never far from our grasp. This deluge of information can be freeing, allowing the transmission of important information, enabling faster scientific research and fostering activism and social interaction.

The downside of this overflowing media buffet is the ease with which this media can induce a form of hypnosis on the consumer. It is so much easier to passively receive the streams of information, than to engage in more active synthesis and creative process. Even when using these new tools and media for creative expression, a quick perusal of YouTube or Technorati will show you that the majority of user generated content falls into the Bread and Circuses category. While mainstream politics occupies a significant component of the signal, it is basically reduced to noise by the inane directions in which the popular focus is steered.

Is this misdirection a Machiavellian ruse promulgated by elite puppetmasters, or a byproduct of the information overload the modern mind is presented with? Are we being programmed, or is human nature bound to obsession with celebrity, sex, and stupid jokes? These are central Fringe questions. Conspiracy theorists, skeptics, paranoids, and the disinterested may each bring an interesting perspective to the table. How do we find threads of meaning, importance, and mindfulness in the crashing waves of media confronting our minds?

Thanks for a great 2007, from the Fringe Reporter! This exploration has been exciting, and I have enjoyed trolling the internets for interesting Fringe info. My goal for the next year is to add more musings and comments in addition to the video and linky goodness. I appreciate those of you who have subscribed to the feeds, and hope that I can eventually generate more comments and discussion about these ideas and the Fringe movement in general.

Updates from the Etheric War

It appears that things are hopping in the etheric world of the orgonite community.  Here are some choice quotes, check out the original thread here.

Yesterday, in Dooney's chat session, they found a nuke bomb at an auto plant in Detroit, set to detonate immediately in conjuction with a murder ritual conducted in that city by some of the top (sic) people in government and industry. At that point, Carol saw them negotiating over who was going to get to eat the dead baby.

Heheh, STevo just found a big nuke bomb on a truck at a US Navy facility in South Boston--we're working on that one, now. I guess this is Homeland Security's version of the old shell game. There's probably too much good orgone in Boston to detonate a nuke in the city.

If orgone energy could really block the detonation of nuclear devices, we would be in great shape! Of course, given that there is no known scientific instrument capable of measuring orgone, it would be a bit hard to validate this claim.

Stevo and whale friends did a 'seawater enema' and saw a lot of cloned aliens being drowned. These were apparently made up for enforcing martial law and generally committing mayhem on the surface in coming days. I guess the Russians and Chinese just weren't willing to do that for the federal alleged government as long as the US populace remains armed.

The psychics are seeing a whole lot of desperation among the people who stand to lose a lot if they can't generate sufficient terror among the Pajama People pretty soon.

No other Fringe community fuses aliens, NWO plots, energy work, civil resistance, psychic whales, and multiple dimensions! On top of all that, Don Croft is a consistently entertaining writer.

The psychics' efforts apparently got some attention from the guardians of the primary earth vortices, who are now helping us and the whales channel a lot of corrective energy into the global underground base network. By now, the time rip that was centered in Philly and Montauk is apparently repaired with their help.

In the midst of this fantastical thread, Mr. Croft does remind us of the subjective nature of etheric experience.

Do I need to post a reminder that most of this is the subjective impressions of the participants? I"m only reporting it to encourage you to start doing your own experimenting with these techniques or to create your own. This is a very empowering time.

This is a nice video discussing the creation of the Federal Reserve. Notice the number of Presidential assassinations associated with threats to the international banking powers. It may not be as glamorous as aliens or evil sorcerers, but this conspiracy seems much more believable then many!

Lakota Nation declares independence from U.S.

In a move that will hopefully draw attention to the third-world conditions created within the U.S. by racist policy, the Lakota Nation has decided to revoke the treaties it signed with the U.S. government described as “worthless words on worthless paper."

In the face of the colonial apartheid conditions imposed on Lakota people, the withdrawal from the U.S. Treaties is necessary. These conditions have been devastating:

* Lakota men have a life expectancy of less than 44 years, lowest of any country in the World (excluding AIDS) including Haiti.

* The Lakota infant mortality rate is 300% more than the U.S. Average.
* More than half the Reservation's adults battle addiction and disease.
* The Tuberculosis rate on Lakota reservations is approx 800% higher than the U.S national average.

* Median income is approximately $2,600 to $3,500 per year.
* 1/3 of the homes lack basic clean water and sewage while 40% lack electricty.
* 60% of housing is infected with potentially fatal black molds.

* Federal Commodity Food Program provides high sugar foods that kill Native people through diabetes and heart disease.

The War Etheric

Fringe authors often report fantastic, bizarre stories that sound like fantasy or science fiction, but Don Croft is probably one of the most entertaining characters occupying the fringe world.  He is intimately involved in the orgonite community, and is credited with inventing many of the basic orgonite technologies including towerbusters, holy-hand-grenades, and cloudbusters/chembusters.

Mr. Croft often predicates his tales with the disclaimer that his experiences and reports are subjective and all thinking and discernment should be undertaken by the individual readers.  Here's an exerpt from a recent post from his web-forum, Etheric Warriors:

Our efforts to ’balance’ the human culprits who slaughtered the dolphins led us to the discovery of some underground, prehistoric crystal city sites that were part of the very ancient Lemurian global civilization and this led us to a large number of hyper dimensional portals that the world odor was in the process of using to bring a huge army of bugs into our dimension from that big ship that looks like a comet.

The biggest city/portal is apparently in central India but when we started boosting this site our effort was joined by a large number of whales and dolphins, who showed the psychics all the rest of the portals: around two per continent, then they led the way out to the fleet of bug ships, which were apparently destroyed/disabled, then to their home planet, where we and the cetaceans really cleaned house, as we’d done repeatedly on the draconian’ home planet around the star, Arcturus, over the past year or so. Stevo told us that he’d never seen whales creating dodecahedrons around ships in space, before this.

This is a great example of the content you will run across in Don Croft's writing.  In his tales of battling the NWO and his efforts at "gifting" orgonite and fighting predators and parasites, he maintains an entertaining and engaging narrative while traversing through bizarre territory featuring aliens, psychics, orgone energy, covert ops, brainwashing, and a monumental battle for liberty and peace against a vast secret conspiracy.
